Our Story
It all began 1978 with a band-saw and a table saw. John Johnson, owner and founder of His Life Woodworks, took over a 700 square foot woodshed in Torrance, California. He started with small jobs—bath vanities and mantles —but quickly became known for his artistic eye, unique vision, and superior craftsmanship. Soon, clients wanted his talents for more than their small projects and John began creating custom cabinets for every room of their houses and businesses.
Today, His Life Woodworks is a high-end, custom cabinetry shop that operates out of 28,000 square foot manufacturing facility and services the South Bay. And while it’s grown quite a bit from its humble origins, the philosophy of the company remains the same: come alongside homeowners or designers and builders working with clients to create the cabinetry of their dreams.
